The high-pressure hydraulic power unit is a hydraulic transmission device widely used in the machinery industry. To ensure its long-term stable operation, regular maintenance and servicing are essential. This article will discuss the maintenance and servicing of high-pressure hydraulic power units from the perspectives of cleaning and upkeep, hydraulic oil replacement, and seal inspection.

I. Cleaning and Maintenance
During operation, the high-pressure hydraulic end generates substantial hydraulic oil leakage, and the accumulation of oil stains and dust can adversely affect its performance and service life. Therefore, cleaning and maintenance are the top priorities in the upkeep of the high-pressure hydraulic end.
The following precautions should be observed when cleaning the high-pressure hydraulic end:
Use appropriate solvents for cleaning; do not use harmful chemicals to avoid damaging the machine’s surface. During the cleaning process, take care to protect vulnerable components such as seals, oil seals, and oil lines to prevent cleaning fluids from penetrating and degrading their performance. After cleaning, thoroughly inspect all interfaces, oil lines, oil seals, and other components to ensure their surfaces are clean and free of contaminants.
II. Hydraulic Oil Replacement
The hydraulic fluid used in the high-pressure hydraulic end is one of the critical factors for its proper operation. Using expired or unsuitable hydraulic fluid can lead to reduced performance and accelerated component wear in the high-pressure hydraulic end; therefore, regular hydraulic fluid replacement is an essential maintenance task.
The following precautions should be observed when changing the hydraulic oil:
The appropriate hydraulic oil shall be selected to meet the operating requirements of the high-pressure hydraulic power end. Prior to changing the hydraulic oil, the residual crude oil must be completely drained, and all components must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure that the new oil does not mix with the old. After the hydraulic oil is changed, the air must be purged from the hydraulic circuit to ensure proper system operation.
III. Seal Inspection
Seals play a critical role in high-pressure hydraulic power units, and their performance directly affects the operational efficiency and service life of these units. Therefore, regular inspection and replacement of seals are essential maintenance procedures for high-pressure hydraulic power units.
When inspecting seals, the following points should be observed: First, all sealing areas must be cleaned to facilitate a thorough assessment of the seal condition. Inspect the seal surface for cracks, deformation, aging, or other defects; if any are found, the seal should be replaced promptly. Verify that the seal fits tightly against the associated components and check for oil leakage. When replacing seals, select appropriate replacement parts and ensure proper installation orientation and method.
In addition to the three aspects mentioned above, several other maintenance and upkeep measures should also be observed:
Regularly inspect the high-pressure hydraulic end’s fastening bolts and mounting hardware to ensure they are secure and reliable. Routinely examine the hydraulic lines of the high-pressure hydraulic end for cracks, aging, or other signs of deterioration, and replace any damaged lines promptly. Periodically perform inspection and adjustment of the hydraulic system on the high-pressure hydraulic end to ensure that the system is operating in optimal condition.
